Ron grew up in the southern part of America, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He has worked mainly in black and white using a traditional darkroom. A highly versatile photographer, his work can be found in major museum photography collections. Ron specializes in 35mm photography, making beautiful prints of exceptional quality. After leaving Arkansas, he lived in Dallas, Texas for 30 years. He now lives and works in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Ron is represented by Afterimage Gallery in Dallas, Texas. His work is held in the permanent collections of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. He is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society.
